Racing Explained From The Inside Of The Engineering, Not Just The Results

F1 News Hub is where the regulations, the power units, and the incidents that actually decide race weekends get taken apart in plain language β€” written by someone who reads the technical directives for fun.

What This Site Is About

Every race weekend produces two versions of the same story. There's the results sheet β€” who won, who crashed, who lost points β€” and there's the engineering underneath it that actually explains why. This site exists for the second story. I break down what a new regulation actually changes, why a component fails when it fails, and whether the "advanced" technology teams are racing with is really making the sport better or just harder to predict.

No hot takes made up on the spot and no recycled press releases β€” every piece here is built from technical regulations, team and FIA statements, driver and engineer quotes, and race-by-race incident data, all linked at the bottom of each post.

Before It's A Story, It's A Drawing

Every regulation change starts life as exactly this β€” a dimensioned drawing, not a headline. Reading those drawings before the headline is basically this whole site's job description.

Power Units & Regulations

Deep dives into what actually changed in the technical rules, and what it costs teams to comply.

Data-Led Analysis

Charts and numbers over vibes β€” lap data, reliability trends, and season-long patterns, sourced and shown.

Incidents & Reliability

Tracking the crashes, retirements, and failures that trace back to a specific technical cause.

Driver & Engineer Voices

What the people actually racing and building these cars say, in their own words, not paraphrased.

Speed Is Just Another Data Point

Motion blur looks dramatic on a photo. On a spreadsheet it's a lap delta, a tyre-deg curve, or a battery discharge rate β€” same information, less exciting to look at, which is exactly why it gets explained here instead of just shown.

Founder & Writer

I'm Annika Pandey and I write about motorsports, especially F1; because I genuinely can't get enough of it, not just who crosses the line first, but why the cars behave the way they do and how a single rule change can reshape an entire season. Formula 1's technical and regulatory side is where I spend most of my attention, but the obsession stretches across motorsport in general; I want to understand the engineering and decisions happening underneath the racing, not just report the results.

Every Weekend

Twenty cars, one shared regulation, and every team still working out what it actually means at 300 km/h.
